Kelley building on big Day 2

Elite Series rookie Jonathan Kelley struggled on Day 1 at Santee Cooper Lakes. He caught only 4 keepers that totaled 8-15, which left him in 85th place. However, the 26-year-old 2021 Northern Opens Angler of the Year rallied in a big way on Friday, weighing 25-10 and moving inside the two-day cut in 40th place.

Kelley, who is from Old Forge, Pa., started his day by landing 6-pounder this morning, and he has continued to build on that. There are already four 20-pound bags on BassTrakk at 11 a.m. Kelley has one - 20 pounds, 9 ounces, unofficially - and it has moved him into 10th place.
